Treibball (pronounce it "try-ball" or "tribe-bull") is the hottest thing in fun and games the dog world has seen in quite some time! This game came over from Germany just last year and has already taken the US by storm! Treibball is a herding game using balls instead of livestock; handlers guide their dogs through the tasks needed to "herd" or move playballs from an open field into a goal within a specified period of time.
We love this game because any dog can play, regardless of size, age or breed; you don't have to be a border collie to be good at Treibball! You can play as slow or as fast as you like, and there are all kinds of options as to the size of your playing field, balls and goal. Just by learning a few simple skills, you and your dog can be ball-herders in no time flat! No special athletic ability is required of the handler (a big plus for some of us!) and you can get all the supplies you need to get outfitted for practicing at home on your own for well under $100! Even better, Treibball is played in timed trials and the dogs go one at a time, so if your dog isn't as dog-social as he could be, he can still come out and enjoy a good run at Treibball!

Our beginner Treibball clinic meets on Sunday mornings. Clinic format means we have participants at various skill levels working together to improve their training and their game. Purchase a 5- or 10-session pass, and attend the sessions you can and never get penalized for not showing up. Work at your own pace and build your skills as you go! We'll show you what you need to know, provide you with lots of exercises and skill games to help you on your way. We'll also help you assess your capabilities in each area so you'll know exactly what to work on!
